Jonathan Bullock MEP - HS2 is flawed and is a waste of money

There has been much debate again this week on the future of HS2.

I have consistently argued against HS2 at every opportunity, and would like some of the money spent on this white elephant to be evenly distributed across different modes of transport.

Conservative ministers were given alternatives to this scheme but decided to plough on regardless.

HS2 is flawed and is a waste of money - particularly when the Government is trying to free up funds - and it is a pure vanity project.

The Government is still insisting HS2 will be delivered on time - it would be preferable to stop this madness and improve our rail and transport networks in much more useful and sensible ways.
