It appears it is not all doom and gloom then?
Bombardier will work with Egyptian firms on the Cairo infrastructure and will develop and build rolling stock in Derby, after being named as the preferred bidder.
The project £2.65bn contract will involve building 70 four-car trains to be exported to Egypt between 2021 and 2024.
And yet, you would think by reading some of the negativity and doom and gloom around Brexit that the country will grind to a halt when we leave the EU.
These scaremongering and 'Project Fear' predictions are now getting hysterical. This latest contract again proves it is time to leave the past behind and continue the journey we have started - a journey the British people voted for in the referendum.
